What makes you hopeful about Durban’s future?
We have a great city that we live in and if more if us can look at the positives and build on that we can make a difference in our city as a collective. We all came together during the floods and looting and shown the world what we can do if we stand together, so lets do it again for the economic growth of our city and country.
How do you see your sector contributing to Durban’s economic revival?
The ICT sector can play a pivotal role in Durban’s economic revival by driving innovation, attracting investment, and creating high-quality jobs. Through the development of smart infrastructure, digital services, and tech startups, the ICT sector enhances productivity, streamlines public services, and enables new business opportunities. By fostering a connected and digitally skilled workforce, the sector can boost local employment and also position the city as a competitive hub for technology-driven industries, attracting talent and fostering sustainable economic growth.
Why should professionals or business owners in your industry consider joining this movement?
As part of the All Shall Prosper network, we believe that cultivating a culture of caring and sharing in the market place will improve economic growth and create an environment where ‘all shall prosper’. The more people we can get on board, that are like minded in wanting to improve Durban from inside their industry, the better our chances to make these initiatives work for everyone.
