About me:
I was invited to attend a KI meeting in Westville by a friend. After being exposed to the Christian based teachings and the concept of God’s specific assignment for my life, I felt that due to my vast experience in marketing & tourism, I could make that my primary assignment. After my presentation at Durban tourism’s quarterly meeting and meetings at Indaba Tourism expo 2025, I do feel excited that I am now living my assignment.
What makes you hopeful about Durban’s future?
I have lived in Durban for 43 Years and for at least 5 decades Durban was the Number 1 holiday destination of choice in SA. I believe with a new marketing vision and strategy we can regain that status, not only for domestic tourism, but also the international sector as well. Our first key objectives is to make our city clean and safe.
How do you see your sector contributing to Durban’s economic revival?
Tourism & Hospitality are major drivers of the Durban & KZN economy. Strong communication and our visionary strategy will make Durban the centre of adventure once more, linking all the incredible tourism treasures in our province to the city, that are easily accessible.
Why should professionals or business owners in your industry consider joining this movement?
Every person with experience in business, in the private sector, can make a major difference and dramatically contribute to the Forward Durban vision powered by the ASP Movement, which can lift our local economy and start addressing the major unemployment crisis in our province.
