Success Ladder Conference Empowers Durban’s Youth

Durban youth took a powerful step toward economic empowerment at the recent SUCCESS LADDER Work Readiness Conference, hosted by the Support Services Sector Action Team of the ASP (All Shall Prosper) Movement, under the Forward Durban banner.

This three-day event was more than just a workshop—it was an experience. With high-energy sessions including gamification, music, role play, and expert-led modules, young attendees were equipped with the practical skills to not only get a job—but to keep it.

The program addressed a critical challenge: many job seekers have the technical skills but lack the professional presence and confidence to showcase themselves as the right candidate. Through real-life simulations and interactive activities, participants learned how to show up, communicate, and grow within the workplace.

“The best part was how real it was,” said one participant. “We weren’t just taught theory—we lived it.”

With over 100 attendees and expert contributions from multiple industries, the conference left a lasting impact and will now become a quarterly event.
